Sigiriya

Built by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD), Sigiriya also known as Alakamandawa (Akasa Maligawa) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with well-laid out gardens, famed water gardens, caves, monasteries, and palaces with stunning wall arts dated back to 5 century AD. The ‘Lion Rock’ palace, which stands 200 meters above the scrub forest is considered as a pivotal point in Ravana’s existence, according to studies.
