Our car with driver hire starts at 55 USD per day for an economy car (Toyota Aqua, up to 2 passengers), 60 USD per day for a sedan (Toyota Axio, up to 3 passengers), and 100 USD per day for a KDH van (up to 6 passengers).

Every rate includes your English-speaking chauffeur, fuel, highway tolls and parking fees. There are no hidden charges. The only possible extra is driver accommodation at 8 USD per day, and that applies only if your hotel doesn’t provide a room for the driver — most hotels in Sri Lanka do.

No strict minimum — we take bookings from a single day upwards. That said, most of our guests hire for 5 to 10 days, which is what a comfortable island loop takes without rushing.

If you only need one leg covered, such as an airport transfer or a day trip out of Colombo, just message us and we’ll quote for that alone.

No advance payment is required. We confirm your booking on trust and you pay at the end of your tour, or as agreed with your driver.

We accept both cash and card. Most guests find this a lot less stressful than prepaying a company they’ve never met before arriving.

Yes to both. All Ceylon Hunt drivers are licensed and certified by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA), which is the government body that regulates tourist transport here.

Every driver speaks fluent English and knows the routes, the timings and the places worth stopping at along the way. Many of our guests end up describing their driver as the highlight of the trip.

Yes. Airport pickup from Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) is included in your daily rate when your hire starts on arrival day — there’s no separate transfer fee.

Your driver waits in the arrivals hall with a name board, and we track your flight, so a delayed landing is not a problem. Just send us your flight number when you book.

The driver’s meals are entirely his own responsibility — you are never asked to cover food.

For accommodation, most Sri Lankan hotels provide a free driver’s room as standard, in which case there’s nothing to pay. If a particular hotel doesn’t, the charge is 8 USD per night. We’ll tell you upfront if we expect this to apply anywhere on your route.

Absolutely. The itinerary is a plan, not a contract. If you want an extra night somewhere, a detour to a beach you heard about, or a slower morning, just tell your driver.

If a change adds days or significant distance we’ll discuss the cost with you first, so there are never surprises at the end.
