How much does car with driver hire cost in Sri Lanka?
Our rates start from 55 USD per day for a Toyota Aqua (economy car), 60 USD per day for a Toyota Axio (sedan), and 100 USD per day for a KDH van — each with an English-speaking driver, fuel, highway tolls and parking all included. There are no hidden charges. The exact price depends on the vehicle you choose and how many days you travel, so send us your dates for an exact quote.
Is there a minimum number of days to hire a car with a driver?
We specialise in multi-day trips, and most of our guests hire for 4 days or more to explore the island comfortably. We can also arrange shorter hires — just tell us your plans and we’ll tailor the itinerary to suit them.
Do I need to pay a deposit in advance?
No advance payment is required. You pay at the time of your tour, and we accept both cash and card. We simply confirm your booking over WhatsApp or email so everything is ready when you arrive.
Are your drivers licensed and do they speak English?
Yes. All our drivers are licensed and certified by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA), and they speak English fluently. Beyond driving, they act as your local companion — recommending places to eat, stay and visit along the way.
Can the driver pick us up from Colombo (CMB) airport?
Absolutely. Your driver can meet you right at Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) with a name board and take you straight to your first destination. Just share your flight details when you book so we can time the pickup around your arrival.
What about the driver’s meals and accommodation?
Your driver arranges their own meals. For overnight trips, most hotels provide driver accommodation free of charge; if a hotel doesn’t, there’s a small charge of 8 USD per day for the driver’s stay. Everything else — fuel, highway tolls and parking — is already included in the daily rate.
Can we change the itinerary during the trip?
Yes, and this is one of the biggest benefits of hiring a car with a driver. Your itinerary stays flexible — if you want to add a stop, stay longer somewhere, or change plans on the day, just let your driver know and we’ll adapt around you.
